The Neuroscience Behind Joy And Emotions with Guest Dr. Finnerty
The Kathleen Riessen Show
Can you shift your emotions by faking them? When you are nervous, what’s actually happening in your body? What is really going on in your brain when you experience joy? In this episode, we are digging into the neuroscience of joy and other emotions.
Joining me in this episode is Dr. Finnerty – a professor emeritus at Des Moines University. He spent his professional life studying neuroscience, physiology, neuropharmacology, pharmacokinetics, clinical chemistry and medical education. As I say each time I describe this man, he will forget more about the brain each day than most of us will ever know. While most people call my guest “Dr.” or “Professor”, I call him “Dad”. He may even reveal some of my embarrassing childhood secrets so be sure to listen in.
